B'Nai Mitzvah Information

Are you or your child ready to prepare to be called to the Torah?
Congregation Tikkun Olam requires a combination of religious school
instruction and classes with a private tutor to prepare for Bar/Bat
Mitzvah.
Prayer and ritual are explored through demonstration and repetition during
regular religious school sessions. The
goal is have the students completely familiar with the Shabbat service and
prayers prior to their B'Nai Mitzvah.
As each student progresses through the program, private lessons will be
contracted with a B'Nai Mitzvah tutor for the teaching of the specific
Torah portion and the Haftorah. Tropes, the chanting melodies, are also
taught in these private sessions through both written works and the use of
taped materials.
We invite all members of Congregation Tikkun Olam to participate in B'nai
Mitzvah training. Please refer to Congregation Tikkun Olam's B'Nai Mitzvah
policy for complete details. To view or download the policy,
